Option to install the IBM Cognos Content Database (Apache Derby DB), that can be usefull in some cases like:
Storing your Development Content Store locally into Windows Computer
Poc kind of scenarios
1. Install Cognos BI (e.g 10.2.1) Development Environment into Windows with IBM Cognos Content Database
The Content Database provided by IBM Cognos BI is an Apache Derby Instance that can be easily installed into your Windows Development Computer, simply
selecting "Cognos Content Database" during IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Server Installation (e.g bi_svr_32b_10.2.1_win_ml):
You can keep the other default Wizard options.
Additional Cognos Installation Steps, only If not already done:
Install (you can keep default Wizard options) at least following Cognos packages:
[Mandatory] Cognos FM (e.g fm_10.2.1_win_ml)
Other required package for your DEvelpment (e.g bi_trfrm_10.2.1_win_ml if you need Transformer,....)
[Mandatory] The Latest Cognos FixPack (e.g up_bisrvr_win32_10.2.5004.54_ml).

3. Change IBM Content Store DB Port
Launch IBM Cognos Configuration
Change default Port from 1527 to a value in the range 49152 - 65535 to fix the IBM Defect "Unable to start the IBM Cognos content store database". For example Set 50001:
